How do I know in which markup language my website is written
If you aren't sure which markup language(s) your website is written in, we suggest contacting your webmaster, or the person who maintains your site. You can also try to identify the markup language by following these steps:
From Internet Explorer:
1. Open a new browser window, and enter your mobile web address.
- If you see a pop-up that asks you to download a file with 'wml' in the title, your site is written in wml.
2. If you can access your site in IE, right-click anywhere on the main page, and select 'View Source' to review the source code.
- If the source code starts with '- If the source code starts with "'
From Firefox:
1. Open a new browser window, and enter your mobile web address.
- If you see a pop-up that says: 'You have chosen to open xxx which is a: ___.wml,' your site is written in wml.
2. If you can access your site in Firefox, right-click anywhere on the main page, and select 'View Page Source' to review the source code.
- If the source code starts with '"- If the source code starts with '
Sometimes, multiple versions of mobile websites are created, each written in a different markup language. Depending on how your mobile website was created, and how many markup languages it's available in, your site might automatically detect the compatible markup language for a user's mobile browser. Sites that detect markup languages will automatically serve the correct version of your site. If different versions of your mobile website exist in multiple markup languages, make sure you select each language your site supports.
Please also keep in mind that if your mobile website exists in several different markup languages, you'll need to generate new AdSense for mobile code for each version of your website.
